Grizzlies alum Weare collecting shutouts for ACHA’s Jimmies

The University of Jamestown Jimmies D1 men’s hockey team has 16 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League alumni on its roster.

Brandon Weare (Revelstoke Grizzlies) is in his second season and recorded his third straight shutout for the Jimmies in a 13-0 victory over Northern Illinois University on Oct. 15. After turning aside all 14 shots he faced on Friday, Oct. 14, Weare made 15 saves for the third consecutive shutout. Last season, Weare had five shutouts in 25 games as he went 18-7-0 with a 1.91 goals against average and a .930 save percentage.
