Young Guns: Blake Sittler

Blake Sittler of the Princeton Posse is this week’s Young Guns, presented by the Next Shift Network, as he won twice against the North Okanagan Knights stopping 68 of 71 shots for a 1.30 goals against average and a .958 save percentage.

Included in those stats is a 27-save shutout performance. Posse head coach-GM Mark Readman says Sittler was able to track pucks well and stay mentally locked in “during spurts where he didn’t see much action and prepared for his next shots well.”

“When Blake is at his best, he’s seeing pucks and progressions well, and is able to settle play by controlling rebounds and pace of play and he was able to do that for us last round.”

Sittler is 4-0 in the Teck Cup playoffs with a 2.03 GAA and a .927 SP.
