Kamloops Storm defenceman Owen Aura will play for the Amherst Ramblers in the Maritime Hockey League in 2023-24.
The Kamloops product played a season for his hometown team, registering 24 points in 40 games, then played in seven KIJHL Teck Cup championship games. The 6-0, 198-pound blueliner also represented the KIJHL in the B.C. Hockey Conference Prospects Game.
“I am very thankful to have been a part of the Kamloops Storm. They are a great organization with great coaching,” said Aura. “They helped me improve in all areas and I am excited for this opportunity to make the jump to the next level.”
Storm GM Matt Kolle said that Aura is a solid all-around defenceman who plays the game right in all areas.
“He has a good balance of skill and grit which allows him to adapt to all styles,” said Kolle. “He will be a great asset to Amherst.”
