Coyotes’ Henderson joins ACHA Saints

Osoyoos Coyotes captain Jack Henderson has signed to play for the Maryville University Saints in the ACHA next season.

Henderson is coming off his final junior hockey season in which he was tied for the team lead in points with 73 in 38 games. He added seven points in five KIJHL Teck Cup championship games. Over four seasons in the KIJHL, Henderson had 69 goals and 171 points in 124 career regular season games. He added 28 points in 20 playoff games.

The Quesnel native thanked his coaches, teammates and the Osoyoos staff for making his junior career a success.

“I’m looking forward to the next chapter with Maryville,” said Henderson, who will be going to school in St. Louis, Missouri.

Coyotes Head Coach Ken Law said the Saints are getting an amazing talent in Jack, who is a great person.

“The fans in Maryville will love how he plays the game. He will raise the talent of anyone he plays with if they take advantage of his on-ice vision,” said Law. “We were fortunate to have him as our captain this past season and we all wish him the best and are very proud.”
