Vinay Junek of the Princeton Posse is this week’s Young Guns, presented by the Next Shift Network, as he had three goals and one assist in three games.
Along with netting the winner against the North Okanagan Knights, Junek of Yorkton, Sask., had two first goals against Chase and Summerland.
“I thought I pushed the pace of attack and focused on getting to the net and finding lanes, finishing on chances,” said Junek. “In these last few games, I was quicker on the net and getting to pucks and moving the puck in the offensive zone. Lately, I’ve picked up my pace and it’s been paying off for me.”
Junek is second on the Posse with 21 points in 20 games, and is currently enjoying an eight-game point streak with five goals and four assists.
