Kessler, 18, enjoyed a four-point performance against the Spokane Braves to help the Chiefs earn a 9-3 win on Oct. 28.
“Jake had some good results offensively against Spokane which was nice to see for him,” said Chiefs Head Coach Travers Rebman.
Kessler generated offence by doing what he’s done all season, Rebman said, “moving the puck and making plays on the power-play.”
“He made a nice play on the power-play goal to get an assist,” said Rebman. “That was a bit of a different look for him in that role so that was fun.”
Kessler has been solid and has been given a lot of defensive responsibility for a rookie and Rebman said he has handled that well.
