Carson Hebert of the Princeton Posse is this week’s Young Guns, presented by the Next Shift Network, as he scored a goal and added five assists in wins over Osoyoos and Kelowna.
Against the Osoyoos Coyotes, Hebert scored to give them a 2-0 lead, then assisted on their third goal in a 7-2 final. In an 8-0 win over the Kelowna Chiefs, Hebert set up the winning goal – his first of four assists on the night playing with Anmol Garcha and Brennan Watterson.
“I thought Carson was doing a good job, especially on puck recoveries and helping extend possession,” said Posse head coach Mark Readman. “His defensive details to hunt pucks down, being able to extend some possessions were the strongest it’s been all year. At the same time, he was being extremely vocal with his linemates, and putting them in good situations to be a scoring threat in the offensive zone.”
In 26 games, Hebert has two goals and 14 points. He scored his first KIJHL goal on Nov. 10 against Kelowna.
