Spokane Braves forward Zach Baumann is the focus of our next Young Guns feature after producing two goals and five assists for seven points in his last three KIJHL games.
Braves head coach Darin Schumacher said Baumann “sees the ice well and does a great job using his teammates.”
“He is very unselfish and works hard to help his team be successful.”
What Schumacher likes about Baumann’s play is that the 18-year-old does a great job controlling the puck with his linemates in the offensive zone.
“He is patient and uses the space the other team gives him,” said Schumacher, adding that teamwork is what makes Baumann so effective offensively. “The guys are doing a great job moving the puck.”
In four games, Baumann has two goals and seven assists for nine points, which has him tied for the league lead in points.
