Yarish commits to ACAC’s Voyageurs

Carter Yarish of the Osoyoos Coyotes has committed to play for the Portage College Voyageurs in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.

Yarish, 20, was third on the Coyotes with 68 points in 34 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League regular season games. He added five points in five KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games. Yarish led the KIJHL with four shorthanded goals.

“Carter is a very gifted player with great vision, speed and shot,” said Coyotes Head Coach Ken Law. “He is very hard to defend against and always finds a way to expose defenders’ weaknesses.”

Prior to joining the Coyotes, the Prince George product spent a season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Blackfalds Bulldogs, where he had 28 points in 54 regular season games.
