KIJHLers in U.S. College hockey

 

There are several KIJHL grads playing in the U.S. College hockey in Division I,II and III programs, most of them are in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Here is an update on how they are performing with their respective teams. We provide the report on a team-by-team basis.

Iowa State University has the best record in the ACHA with 15 wins in 16 games. Hunter Floris (Nelson Leafs) is in his first season and leads the team with 21 points in 16 games, including 12 goals – two of which are winners.

Adrian College, which won the Men’s Division 1 championship last year, has 14 wins in 16 games. Ethan McLaughlin (Summerland Steam, Nelson Leafs) has six points in 14 games as a rookie. Brock Wallace (Beaver Valley Nitehawks) has an assist in seven games. Noah Decottignies (Beaver Valley Nitehawks, Columbia Valley Rockies) has won seven of his eight games with a 1.85 goals against average and .922 save percentage. Decottignies started his career with three straight wins and is on a current four-game winning streak.

Missouri State University is third in the association with 12 wins in 16 games. Kayson Gallant (Kelowna Chiefs) leads the team with 13 goals and 24 points in 16 games. Gallant has three game-winning goals. Noah Brusse (Princeton Posse) has 15 points in 16 games, including a short-handed goal. Cody Flann (Revelstoke Grizzlies) has 13 points in 12 games with a game-winner among his three goals. Terrance Josephson (Revelstoke Grizzlies, Princeton Posse) has six points in 13 games in his second season.

Liberty University is sixth with 11 wins in 13 games. Cedric Lesieur (Castlegar Rebels) has two wins in three games with a shutout and a .924 save percentage.

Maryville University has 10 wins in 15 games. Garrett Hunter (100 Mile House Wranglers) has three points in 14 games. Keaghan Holub (Osoyoos Coyotes, Grand Forks Border Bruins, Castlegar Rebels) is pointless in six games. 

Lindenwood University has eight wins in 10 games. Ethan Paulin-Hatch (Kamloops Storm) has won both his starts and has a 1.08 goals against average. 

Minot State University is undefeated at 8-0. Riley Wallace (Columbia Valley Rockies) has three wins in four games with a shutout. Wallace has a 1.21 goals against average and .947 save percentage.

Lawrence Tech University has eight wins in 10 games. Jordan Woytas (Kelowna Chiefs, Summerland Steam) is fifth in team scoring with nine points in 10 games. Ethan Grover (Summerland Steam) has nine points in 10 games.

The University of Nevada-Las Vegas has eight wins in 11 games. Vince Benedetto (Chase Heat) has a win in three games. Cole Wyatt (Nelson Leafs) is fourth in team scoring with nine points in 10 games. David Lenzin (Nelson Leafs, Revelstoke Grizzlies, Fernie Ghostriders) has two points in 10 games. 

The University of Jamestown has five wins in 13 games. Goalie Tyson Brouwer (Kimberley Dynamiters) has four wins in 10 games with one shutout. Jaysen MacLean (Creston Valley Thunder Cats, 100 Mile House Wranglers, Princeton Posse) has a win in two games. Reid Wilson (Castlegar Rebels, Nelson Leafs) leads the team with 13 points in 13 games. Jason Richter (Kimberley Dynamiters) has 11 points in 13 games. Gregory Susinski (Fernie Ghostriders) leads the blueline in scoring with nine points in 13 games. Jake Huculak (Beaver Valley Nitehawks, North Okanagan Knights, Revelstoke Grizzlies, Grand Forks Border Bruins) has been switched to defence and has eight points in 13 games. Logan Berggren (Creston Valley Thunder Cats) has seven points in 11 games, and Andrew Clark (Spokane Braves, Creston Valley Thunder Cats) has eight points in 14 games. Jordon Kromm (Fernie Ghostriders) has five points in 14 games. Nathan Cohen-Wallis (Grand Forks Border Bruins, Revelstoke Grizzlies) has five points in 13 games. Philippe Lessard (Beaver Valley Nitehawks, Sicamous Eagles) has three points in 12 games. Brendan Vulcano (Revelstoke Grizzlies) has three points in 14 games. In 14 games, the University of Michigan-Dearborn has six wins. Josh Makarchuk (Kimberley Dynamiters) leads the group of KIJHLers on the roster with four points in 12 games. Johnny Elias (Fernie Ghostriders) has three points in eight games. Dylan Defosse (Fernie Ghostriders) has two goals in six games. Gavin Lawrie (North Okanagan Knights, Summerland Steam, Fernie Ghostriders) has an assist in eight games.

The University of Toledo has four wins in 12 games. Andrew Rennie (Castlegar Rebels) has five points in nine games. 

Manhattanville College has six wins in 10 games. Raymond Speerbrecker (Revelstoke Grizzlies) has an assist in four games.
