The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League has announced the following game postponements:
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Beaver Valley Nitehawks have been postponed:
- Friday, January 7th: Beaver Valley Nitehawks at Castlegar Rebels
- Sunday, January 9th: Golden Rockets at Beaver Valley Nitehawks
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Castlegar Rebels have been postponed:
- Friday, January 7th: Beaver Valley Nitehawks at Castlegar Rebels
- Saturday, January 8th: Castlegar Rebels at Nelson Leafs
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Fernie Ghostriders have been postponed:
- Friday, January 7th: Grand Forks Border Bruins at Fernie Ghostriders
- Saturday, January 8th: Fernie Ghostriders at Columbia Valley Rockies
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Kelowna Chiefs have been postponed:
- Friday, January 7th: Summerland Steam at Kelowna Chiefs
All games listed above will be rescheduled and played at a later date.
The KIJHL has also announced a number of rescheduled games following earlier postponements:
A pair of games between the 100 Mile House Wranglers and Chase Heat, originally scheduled for December 29th and 30th, have been rescheduled for Friday, February 4th in 100 Mile House and Saturday, February 19th in Chase. In order to accommodate these changes, a game between the Heat and Sicamous Eagles originally scheduled for February 4th has been moved to Tuesday, February 1st.
Meanwhile, a pair of games that were postponed due to COVID-19 have been rescheduled: the game between the Creston Valley Thunder Cats and Golden Rockets that had been scheduled for December 29th in Golden will now be played on Thursday, January 20th, and the game between the North Okanagan Knights and Kelowna Chiefs that was originally scheduled for January 4th in Kelowna has been rescheduled for Friday, February 4th.
