Eagles’ Roberts-Lee signs with ACHA Duquesne University

Sicamous Eagles forward Warren Roberts-Lee has committed to play for the Duquesne University Dukes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association for the 2024-25 season.

The 19-year-old from Beaumont, Alta., had 13 goals and 20 points in 27 games for the Eagles this season. Roberts-Lee says he grew as a leader and became more accountable on and off the ice and saw the importance of being in the right place at the right time.

“My time with the Eagles helped me earn this opportunity by helping show me that hard work does pay off,” says Roberts-Lee. “I just want to thank the whole Eagles organization for making this possible. If it wasn’t for them last year taking me in, and treating me as family, this wouldn’t be possible.”

Eagles head coach-general manager Nick Deschenes says Roberts-Lee has been an integral part of their turnaround over the past two seasons.

“We are thrilled Warren was able to join us and grow and develop his game,” says Deschenes. “The fact he’s continuing on as a student-athlete is a testament to the value in playing in the KIJHL. We wish Warren continued success with his new opportunities with Duquesne University.”
