Kimberley Dynamiters’ Kade Leskosky has committed to play for the University of Victoria Vikes in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League for the 2024-25 season.
The Calgary product has 20 goals and 43 points in 38 games, good for third on the Dynamiters.
Leskosky credited the Dynamiters organization in helping him become a better person on and off the ice.
“I now have a great opportunity with the University of Victoria,” said Leskosky. “Coming to Kimberley three years ago was one of the best choices I’ve ever made. I would like to thank my coaches (especially Derek Stuart) and teammates for pushing me to get better.”
Dynamiters head coach-GM Derek Stuart said their primary focus is now helping young men advance to post-secondary programs.
“It’s great to see another 20-year-old be rewarded for his perseverance,” said Stuart. “Through dedication and hard work, Kade has earned an excellent opportunity with UVic that would not have been there had he not returned this season. Our entire organization is very happy for Kade.”
