Coyotes’ Marquart joins SJHL’s Bombers

Kenneth Marquart of the Osoyoos Coyotes has signed to play for the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the 2022-23 season.

Marquart won 16 of the 22 KIJHL regular season games he played in, earning a 2.72 goals against average with a .904 save percentage. His 16 wins led all rookie goalies and he earned four Teck Cup playoff wins with a .880 SP and a 3.04 GAA.

“I’m super excited to have the opportunity to play at the Junior A level. Coach Rigby and the Coyotes team were great to me and I feel like I improved a lot over the course of the season because of that,” said Marquart, 17, a Regina, Saskatch. “Playing in Osoyoos was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to get started in Flin Flon next year.”

Coyotes Head Coach Carter Rigby is “extremely happy for Kenny to be moving onto Junior A.”

“He came in at 16 and showed he’s a player,” said Rigby. “His work ethic alone will get him places in this game, and I can’t wait to see how he develops over the years in Junior A. Congrats Kenny, and good luck.”
