Thunder Cats’ Hiltermann signs with MJHL Stampeders

Blake Hiltermann credits the Creston Valley Thunder Cats for helping him develop on and off-the-ice over two seasons in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

In 31 games last season, the 5-11, 175 pound defenceman had 17 points. Hiltermann will play in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for the Swan Valley Stampeders for the 2022-23 season.

“The coaching staff and Brandon’s passion and commitment to the game made it easy for me to strive and work to get better each and every day,” said Hiltermann. “I’m extremely excited to get started in Swan Valley and can’t thank my teammates and the program in Creston enough for this opportunity.”

“Our organization is extremely happy for Blake. Blake’s commitment to Swan Valley comes from his love of the game and wanting to improve each and every day,” said Thunder Cats Head Coach and GM Brandon Switzer. “Blake has developed and matured, both on and off-the-ice during his time in Creston and has left a big impact on our program. We wish Blake the best of luck.”
