The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 17th week of regular season action for the 2024-25 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlight the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide positioning.
The Kimberley Dynamiters have taken the No.1 spot from the Revelstoke Grizzlies. The Dynamiters didn’t play on the weekend as their game against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats was postponed to a later date due to a road closure.
The Merritt Centennials find themselves back in the top-five at No.2. They won both their games on the weekend, defeating the Grizzlies 3-2 in a shootout and the 100 Mile House Wranglers 4-1.
The Revelstoke Grizzlies dropped a couple spots to No.3 after losing both their weekend games, 3-2 in a shootout to the Centennials and 5-1 to the Rockets.
The Grand Forks Border Bruins dropped a spot to No.4. They won both their games last week, defeating the Castlegar Rebels 8-2 and cruising to an 11-1 win over the Spokane Braves. They’ve allowed four goals in their last three games.
The Sicamous Eagles kept their No.5 spot. The Eagles played once last week, earning an 8-3 win over the Rockies on Saturday.
