Nathan Scott of the Princeton Posse is this week’s Young Guns, presented by the Next Shift Network, as he collected four assists in three games.
Scott assisted on the insurance goal in their Game 4, 7-1 win over the Kelowna Chiefs, then assisted on the 2-2 goal and insurance goal in their Game 5, 7-2 win – he finished with three assists in the game.
“Nathan has been a constant on our backend and success all season,” says Posse head coach-GM Mark Readman. “He is about as good of a kid as he is a hockey player. I think for Scotty, he’s been an active player in transition and on our exits, lending his offensive ability to our gameplay. He has the ability to make the big, flashy play when necessary, but now it’s about competing in playoffs where things tighten up and he is really smart about picking his spots and knowing when to join in and when to stay back.”
The Penhold, Alta. native had 22 points in 39 regular season games and has six assists in six Teck Cup playoff games.
