Young Guns: Gibson Horne

Princeton Posse goalie Gibson Horne earned this week’s Young Guns selection following a 27-save shutout performance against the Kamloops Storm.

Horne helped the Posse earn a 7-0 win for his second shutout of the season. Posse head coach-general manager Torrin White said that the Lac Des Arcs, Alta., native has earned the “full trust of his teammates with the way he practices and conducts himself everyday.”

“He’s obviously a great goalie and has a ton of potential, but there’s a lot of stuff he does in his preparation,” said White. “In that game, he faced a solid amount of shots and he was rock solid.”

Horne has seven wins in 10 games with a 1.99 goals against average and a .940 save percentage. Both stats rank second among all KIJHL goalies.
