Connor Shymoniak of the Revelstoke Grizzlies is this week’s Young Guns selection after he scored two goals, including a winner, in three games.
Grizzlies general manager Ryan Parent credits the work the St. Albert, Alta. native put in this season.
“For him to find success in our last series (against the 100 Mile House Wranglers), I think bodes well to the amount of work Connor has put in over the season. He put himself in good spots to score.”
Parent added Shymoniak has worked hard all season on his two-way game.
“He’s really putting his game together at the right time. I think he’s playing with a lot of confidence.”
In 42 regular season games, Shymoniak had 26 points. He has seven points in 18 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games.
