Wranglers Bohmer signs with BCHL’s Express

Nathan Bohmer of the 100 Mile House Wranglers has signed with the BCHL’s Coquitlam Express.

The Chestermere, Alberta product put up 17 goals and six assists in 22 games, which ranked him 17th among Kootenay International Junior Hockey League point leaders, and seventh among rookies. He was second among rookies in goals and fifth overall in the league.

“That’s good for our program. Part of this whole thing this year is to rebuild the Wrangler name and try to build a base,” says Wranglers Head Coach and General Manager Dale Hladun. “I feel that this is working well to move kids during the season.”

The Wranglers have already helped Maguire Ratzlaff move up to the Melville Millionaires of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Hladun says playing in the BCHL will be good for Bohmer, who did a lot for the Wranglers.

“I think the discipline of playing a role and a position at the next level will help his game,” says Hladun.

A strong skater, with a 6-1, 183-pound frame, Hladun thinks Bohmer will be a good player for the Express, and so does the BCHL organization.
