In April 2026, the British Columbia Hockey Conference was launched as the Hockey Canada and BC Hockey-sanctioned Junior A league in the province of British Columbia.
Consisting of 22 teams, the BCHC was created to offer B.C. athletes with the opportunity to play sanctioned Junior A hockey in their home province and compete for the Centennial Cup, Canada’s national Junior A championship. The BCHC is currently navigating the application process to become a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
All of the latest and most current news, scores, schedules, stats and rosters for teams that previously have competed in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League can now be accessed through the BCHC website.
The KIJHL website and all of the historical information that lives here will remain live and accessible to fans, players and families — and we hope to see the KIJHL return in the near future.
