Josh Hogman of the Creston Valley Thunder Cats has committed to play for the University of Flint-Michigan Wolverines in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1 next fall.
The Spruce Grove, Alta., native had 14 points in 40 games split between the Thunder Cats and Castlegar Rebels. Following a trade to the Rebels, Hogman played 18 games and collected three assists.
“We really like his compete level and ability to defend in his own end. We also believe that he will be able to contribute on the offensive side as well,” said Wolverines head coach Nick Karstens. “In every conversation that we have had with Josh, he has shown signs of high character and intelligence.”
Hogman began his KIJHL career with the Rebels in 2023-24 playing in 33 games and registering 14 points. He played 114 regular season games in his career with 51 points and 63 penalty minutes.
The Wolverines were 11-24-0 last season and placed fifth among seven teams in the Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League.
