Brandon Spilchen of the Golden Rockets has committed to play for the McKendree University Bearcats in the American Collegiate Hockey Association next fall.
Spilchen, 20, played in 42 games and established new career highs in goals (five), assists (18), and points (23). The blueliner spent his entire career with the Rockets, playing in 123 regular season games and had 42 points. He also played in six playoff games and registered three points.
Spilchen is the second KIJHL player recruited by McKendree University, based in Lebanon, Illinois.
