Brayden Bissell of the Golden Rockets has committed to playing for the Portage College Voyageurs in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference next fall.
Bissell, 20, tied for the team lead in goals (22) and was second in points (49) in 40 games. It was a career season in all offensive categories for the 6-2, 205-pound forward. He added another seven points in six KIJHL championship playoff games this season.
The Mallaig, Alta., native played in 127 career regular season games for the Rockets and had 50 goals and 121 points.
Bissell is the second KIJHL player the Voyageurs have recruited this spring. They had nine KIJHL alumni on their roster this season.
