Rebels extend coach-GM Carter Duffin

Carter Duffin is returning behind the Castlegar Rebels bench after signing a multi-year contract extension with the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League organization.

Duffin will be behind the bench for his fourth season in September. The Rebels had two wins and a loss in 2020-21.

“I am very excited to continue building on our growth as an organization over the past three years,” Duffin said in a Rebels release. “My focus from Day 1 was to build a team that Castlegar can be proud of, with players that are engaged in the community and check into the rink every day ready to go to work. Moving forward, we will look to build on our on ice success and aim to be a regular contender in the KIJHL.”

Duffin added their goal is to continue to deliver high level coaching and development so they can create opportunities for players to advance to Junior A and to the collegiate levels.

“I can’t wait to get back into the rink and to see fans in the Complex for Rebels games in the near future,” said Duffin.
