The Princeton Posse are proud to announce that forward Carson Hebert has committed to continue his hockey and academic career with the Fredonia State Blue Devils, competing in NCAA Division III hockey.
Carson’s commitment marks a well-earned milestone and reflects the growth, perseverance, and character he has shown throughout his three-year career in Princeton.
An offensive right winger, Carson capped off his time with the Posse in impressive fashion, recording a career-best 29 goals and 45 points in 41 games this season. His ability to produce offensively while continuing to round out his overall game made him a consistent threat and a key contributor in the Posse lineup.
Carson’s development over his three seasons tells the story of a player who earned everything along the way. From arriving in Princeton to becoming a go-to offensive contributor, he put in the work to elevate his game and grew into a player his teammates could rely on in big moments.
“My time in Princeton has been filled with nothing but great teammates, coaches, billets, and people in the community,” said Carson. “I have not only grown as a player, but as a person since arriving here. The amount of ice and support we get from the entire staff to elevate our game is unreal. I am very grateful and honoured to have called this place home for 3 unbelievable seasons.”
That growth extended well beyond the ice. Carson embraced the Posse’s role in the community and consistently represented the organization with pride. In a small town like Princeton, being a role model matters, and Carson proved to be a player young fans could look up to.
Looking ahead to the next chapter, Carson spoke about his decision to join Fredonia State.
“From my first calls with Head Coach Jeff Meredith, I knew Fredonia was a place I wanted to be. After hearing nothing but great things about the hockey program and school, it was pretty easy to want to be a Blue Devil.”
Head Coach Colin Minardi spoke about Carson’s development and what this commitment means.
“Carson is a great example of what can happen when a player commits to getting better every day. He’s grown into a dangerous offensive player and someone we trusted in big situations. More importantly, he’s become a leader and a teammate that guys look up to. We’re proud of everything he’s accomplished here and excited to see him take this next step.”
The opportunity with Fredonia State is a great next step, giving Carson the chance to continue developing his game at a high level while pursuing his education. The Blue Devils program will be gaining a player who competes hard, produces offensively, and carries himself the right way.
The Princeton Posse congratulate Carson and his family on this outstanding achievement and look forward to following his continued success at the collegiate level.
