Posse captain McRae commits to BCIHL’s Miners

Jalen McRae of the Princeton Posse has committed to play for the Logan Lake Miners in the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League.

The Merritt native ranked sixth on the Posse with 12 goals and 29 points in 44 games. It was a career season for the 5-7, 158-pound forward  in all offensive categories as he matched his goal output of the previous three seasons. Breaking into the KIJHL as a rookie in the 2022-23 season, the 20-year-old played 158 regular season games and scored 24 goals, collecting 38 assists for 62 points.

In the playoffs, the Posse captain currently has three goals and 10 points in 21 KIJHL Championship games. Overall, he has played 64 playoff games with five goals and 17 points. McRae also has four short-handed goals in his career, with two scored in the playoffs.

McRae is the fourth KIJHL player recruited by the Miners this spring.
