Nitehawks’ alumnus Lucchini makes NHL debut with Senators

Jake Lucchini, an alumnus of the Beaver Valley Nitehawks, made his NHL debut today with the Ottawa Senators wearing No. 36 in a 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

In 10:49 of ice time, including 45 seconds on the penalty-kill, the Trail, B.C. product, registered a shot and a .

He spoke with the media today before his debut.

Lucchini is second on the Belleville Senators in points with seven goals and 23 points in 24 games. In his AHL career with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Laval Rockets and the Senators, Lucchini has 47 goals and 107 points in 200 regular season games. Last season with the Senators, he set a career high with 20 goals and 51 points in 72 games.
