Livingstone earns third CCHA Defensive Player of the Week nod

Creston Valley Thunder Cats alumnus Jake Livingstone was named the CCHA Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season for the Minnesota State Mavericks.

Livingstone, a junior, first earned the recognition on Oct. 10, then Oct. 31 and now on Jan. 9. The Creston, B.C. native registered two goals and two assists that weekend and finished with four shots on goal and three blocks in addition to finishing +3 for the weekend. 

This past weekend Livingstone registered three shots in two games, making it 15 straight games in which he has recorded at least a shot on goal. In the Mavericks’ 5-0 win over Arizona State, Livingstone collected an assist. 

Livingstone is second on the Mavericks with 22 points in 24 games, and has five goals.
