KIJHLers in Junior A

 

Kootenay International Junior Hockey League alumni are playing in Junior A leagues across Canada. In this report we recap how they are performing.

 

 

D-Cam Reid (Kimberley Dynamiters) has three assists in six games for the Cranbrook Bucks. The Kimberley product debuted in the BCHL last season with the Bucks, collecting three points in 19 games. 

D- Quaid Anderson (Beaver Valley Nitehawks) is pointless in six games. The hometown product began his BCHL career last season with the Bucks, and finished with two goals and four points in 16 games. 

F-Levi Carter (Osoyoos Coyotes) has three assists in 11 games with the Merritt Centennials. 

D- Chase Cooke (Princeton Posse) has one assist in 10 games for his hometown Centennials.

G- Carter Woodside (Princeton Posse) has won four of his six games for the Victoria Grizzlies. During the BCHL Pod season, Woodside won nine of his 15 games and in 44 career BCHL games, Woodside has 19 wins. He recently returned home to Saskatchewan as he deals with an injury.

F- Branden Toye (Kamloops Storm) has two points in seven games for the Powell River Kings. Toye played for the Kings last season, putting up eight points in 17 games. 

 

 

D- Rider McCallum (Revelstoke Grizzlies) has 10 points in 21 games for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Last season for the Oil Barons, McCallum had seven points in 13 games. 

D- Benjamin Keon (100 Mile House Wranglers) has 18 points in 22 games for the Grande Prairie Storm. The blueliner had two points in 14 games last season. 

F- Ethan Shaeffer (Revelstoke Grizzlies) has 12 points in 20 games for the Canmore Eagles, putting him third in team scoring.

F-Lane Paddison (Kelowna Chiefs) has 11 points in 18 games for the Canmore Eagles. 

 

D- Leith Olafson (Kimberley Dynamiters) has three assists in 11 games for the Melfort Mustangs.

F- Alex Johnson (Golden Rockets) has six points in 17 games for the Nipawin Hawks. 

F- Gavin Mattey (Chase Heat) is second in scoring for the La Ronge Ice Wolves with nine goals and 18 points in 19 games.

F – Brandon Della Paolera (Castlegar Rebels, Osoyoos Coyotes) has 15 points in 19 games for the Ice Wolves.

F- Kole Christensson (Revelstoke Grizzlies) has five points in 19 games for the Ice Wolves.

D- Tristan Lambert (Columbia Valley Rockies) has three points in seven games with the Ice Wolves. 

D- Jackson Bohan (Kimberley Dynamiters) has eight points in 17 games for the Ice Wolves. He leads the Ice Wolves blueline in scoring.

F- Braiden Koran (Kimberley Dynamiters) has five goals and 18 points in 20 games for the Humboldt Broncos. 

F- Nikolas Sombrowski (Fernie Ghostriders) leads the Weyburn Red Wings in scoring with 11 points in 15 games. 

D- Nick Dobson (Kimberley Dynamiters) has three assists in five games for the Red Wings. 

F- Kevin-Thomas Walters (North Okanagan Knights) has 15 points in 18 games for the Battlefords North Stars.

D- Beau Larson (Kimberley Dynamiters) has a goal in two games after being acquired from the Ice Wolves.

 

 

In his fifth game with the Swan Valley Stampeders, forward Darius Makse (North Okanagan Knights) collected his first MJHL points, with a two-point performance against Waywayseecappo. Makse added another assist on Oct. 22 against Neepawa.

F- Cody Barnes (100 Mile House Wranglers) is fourth on the Stampeders in points with 14 in 12 games, but he leads the team in goals with 10. 

F- Quinn Mulder (100 Mile House Wranglers) is fifth in Stampeders scoring with 14 points in 16 games. Mulder was named the Performer of the Week with two goals and four points against Virden.

D- Ethan Matchim (North Okanagan Knights) has three assists in nine games for the Stampeders.

D- Lare Pahtayken (Golden Rockets) has one assist in seven games for the Stampeders.

G- Kobe Grant (Kelowna Chiefs) has two wins in five games for the Stampeders. Grant earned his first MJHL win on Oct. 17 and picked up his second on Nov. 4 against Virden.

 

F- Elvis Slack (Grand Forks Border Bruins) has eight goals and 17 points in 14 games for the Renfrew Wolves. In his last two games, Slack has five points. The Jasper, Alberta native joined the Wolves in a trade after spending last season with the Weyburn Red Wings in the SJHL.
