Grizzlies, Leafs to meet in Teck Cup Finals

For the second time in the KIJHL’s history, the Nelson Leafs and Revelstoke Grizzlies will battle for the Teck Cup Championship. The last time the organizations faced each other was in 2009/10, with the Grizzlies winning.

As the Junior Maple Leafs, Nelson won three championships in five finals appearances. They made their first appearance in the Teck Cup Championship as the Leafs in 1999-2000, defeating the Sicamous Eagles. Their next appearance in the final came against the Kamloops Storm in 2008-09, this time winning the championship.

The Grizzlies have competed in five championships, winning three.

Below is the schedule for the best-of-seven series that begins this Friday in Revelstoke.
