KIJHL opens season with home debuts for Quesnel, Williams Lake

 

Quesnel and Williams Lake are both making their Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season debuts at home on Friday, September 20, 2024.

The Quesnel River Rush welcome the expansion Merritt Centennials, also making their league debut, at the West Fraser Centre at 7 p.m. PST. The River Rush roster will feature five Quesnel products on their roster – Tristen Mero, Luke Novak, Isaiah Bagri, Liam Richardson and Jackson Heinzelman.

Just south on Highway 97, the Williams Lake Mustangs host the Sicamous Eagles at the Cariboo Memorial Rec Complex at 7 p.m. PST. The Mustangs have four Williams Lake products on their roster – Carter Boomer, Kaelen Swanson, Asher Lucas and Declan Pocock.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, there are nine matchups. The River Rush are hosting the Eagles at the West Fraser Centre at 7 p.m. PST, while the Mustangs will host the Centennials at the Cariboo Memorial Rec Complex at 7 p.m. PST.
