Nathan Bohmer of the 100 Mile House Wranglers, Dylan Marshall of the Nelson Leafs and Ty Marchant of the Kelowna Chiefs have been selected the Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending, Dec. 5.
Bohmer – Top Forward – The Chestermere, Alberta product had five goals and six points in three games. Bohmer had two goals, including the winner in a 3-2 win versus the Sicamous Eagles on Dec. 1. Bohmer then scored the Wranglers’ lone goal in the 3-1 loss to Revelstoke on Dec. 3. Against Sicamous on Dec. 4 in a 6-4 win, Bohmer had two goals and an assist with one of his goals being an insurance marker. On the season, Bohmer has 14 goals and 20 points in 18 games, which ranks him 14th among the top KIJHL scorers.
Marchant – Top Defenceman – The Kelowna product had a goal and four points in two games. In the win against Princeton on Dec. 3, Marchant had an assist. In the win against Chase on Dec. 4, Marchant netted the winner for his eighth goal of the season and added two assists. For the season, Marchant has 18 points in 20 games, which ranks him second overall among KIJHL defencemen in points.
Marshall – Top Goalie – The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan product won all three of his starts last week. He made 51 of 55 saves combined in wins over Beaver Valley, Nelson and Castlegar for a .927 save percentage and 1.33 goals against average. Marshall earned a 21-save shutout in a 3-0 final over Castlegar. For the season, Marshall is 9-3-0 with a .913 SP and a 1.96 GAA. Marshall ranks fourth among KIJHL goalies with nine wins, is 14th in SP and sixth in GAA.
