Gage Reimer of the Sicamous Eagles, Ethan McKinley of the Osoyoos Coyotes and Bhavin Serown of the 100 Mile House have been named the Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 20.
Reimer – Top Goalie – The Medicine Hat, Alberta product stopped all 35 shots he faced against the Revelstoke Grizzlies to help the Eagles earn a 1-0 win. Reimer faced 14 shots in the third period. For the season, Reimer finished with nine wins in 28 games with a .910 SP and a 3.04 GAA.
McKinley – Top Forward – The St. Albert, Alberta product had a goal and nine points in three games to help the Coyotes win two of their final three games. In their win over North Okanagan, McKinley had a goal and three points. In a victory against Princeton, he racked up four assists, and in the final game against Princeton, he had two assists in the loss. McKinley finished with 14 goals, 36 assists for 50 points in 35 games, which ranks him third among rookies in points.
Serown – Top Defenceman – The Kamloops product had a goal and three points to help the Wranglers earn wins against Sicamous and Chase. Against Sicamous, Serown had a goal and an assist and against Chase, his former team, he set up the game-winning goal. For the season, Serown finished with two goals and 11 points in 35 games.
