Dynamiter, Grizzly and Leaf get
Hot in the KI spotlight
Kimberley Dynamiters forward Erik Delaire earned the first star after scoring four goals and adding an assist in three games.
The Cranbrook native netted a hat-trick in the deciding fifth game against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats earning a game star for his performance. The second-year Dynamiter had six goals and 11 points in 21 regular season games. In six playoff games, Delaire has six points.

The second star goes to Nelson Leafs forward Shawn Campbell collected four points in two games against the Spokane Braves.
The Castlegar native scored a goal and added three assists to help the Leafs gain a 3-0 series lead on the Braves. In 39 regular season games, Campbell had 31 goals and 50 points. In five playoff games, Campbell has five goals and 10 points – both career highs in a KIJHL playoff season.
The third star goes to Grizzlies goalie Noah Desouza. The Erie, Colo., native picked up a pair of wins over the Kamloops Storm and stopped 30 of 32 shots for a 1.00 goals against average and .937 save percentage.
“Although not having to face a large quantity of shots, Noah had to make some keys saves in both a 3-1 Game 3 win and 2-1 Game 4 win,” says Grizzlies assistant coach Matt Miller.
In four playoff games this season, Desouza is 4-0 with a 1.00 goals against average and .954 save percentage.
