Grizzlies’ Meddeb commits to ACHA’s Panthers

Faris Meddeb of the Revelstoke Grizzlies has committed to play for the Drury University Panthers in the American Collegiate Hockey Association next fall.

Meddeb, 21, led the Grizzlies’ blueline with 32 points (7-25) in 41 games – a new season high in points for the Calgary native. He added nine points (4-5) in 12 playoff games.

The 5-11, 175-pound defenceman played in 117 career games with the Grizzlies and had 76 points (20-56). He played in 33 career playoff games, and had 14 points.

Meddeb is the sixth KIJHL player that the Panthers have recruited this spring. Under KIJHL alumnus Jeremy Law as head coach, the Panthers continue to tap into the league for talent.
