Nathan Dominici (Beaver Valley Nitehawks), Hunter Harwood (Osoyoos Coyotes) and Austin Seibel (North Okanagan Knights) have been named the Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 9.
Dominici – Top Forward – In three games, the Trail product scored five goals and added three assists. In their 5-3 win over the Kamloops storm, Dominici had a hat-trick and an assist. His third goal was the eventual winner for the Nitehawks. In a 4-3 win over the 100 Mile House Wranglers, Dominici had scored a short-handed goal to tie the game at three and had an assist. In a 4-3 loss to the Chase Heat, he had a goal and an assist. For the season, Dominici leads the Nitehawks in points with nine in seven games.
Harwood – Top Defenceman – The Kelowna product had a goal and six assists in two games for the Coyotes. In their 4-2 win against the Sicamous Eagles, Harwood had two assists, including on the eventual game-winning goal. In a 12-2 win over the Kelowna Chiefs, Harwood netted the winner on the power-play to give the Coyotes a 3-1 lead and added four assists. On the season, Harwood leads the Coyotes with 13 points in six games.
Seibel – Top Goalie – The Coldstream, B.C. product won both his games for the North Okanagan Knights. In a 2-1 win over the Kelowna Chiefs, Seibel made 40 saves, including 19 in the third period. In a 4-2 win over the Kamloops Storm, Seibel made 43 saves. In total he stopped 83 of 86 shots for a .965 save percentage and a 1.50 GAA. Seibel is 3-0 with a.962 SP and a 1.53 GAA.
