Coyotes’ Poole looks to bring ACHA’s Jimmies physicality and more

James Poole of the Osoyoos Coyotes has signed to play for the University of Jamestown Jimmies in the American Collegiate Hockey Association in the fall.

Poole had 14 points in 38 regular season games this past season for the Coyotes and played in three KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games. During the past season, the Edmonton native improved his confidence with the puck.

“I have always been a physical player, but I feel that I really took it to the next level this season,” says Poole. “The Coyotes organization gave me the opportunity to continue to improve as a player and a person, and provided the experience and exposure required to play at the college level.”

Poole, 21, is looking forward to playing for the Jimmies, where he will join his brother Matthew. He’s grateful for the opportunity to play while pursuing a business degree.
