Chiefs’ Reynolds signs with BCIHL’s Lakers

Patrick Reynolds of the Kelowna Chiefs has signed to play for the Okanagan Lakers in the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League for the 2022-23 season.

The Calgary product spent three seasons with the Chiefs, putting up 33 goals and 61 points in 75 games. The 6-4, 195-pound forward added 10 points in 12 Teck Cup playoff games.

Chiefs General Manager Jasen Tansem said Reynolds was always a threat on the ice since he started in Kelowna.

“He has the ability to use his size and skill to create offence from nothing, which made him a top player in our league,” said Tansem. “He is hard to handle and is always ready to rise to any occasion.”

Reynolds said his time with the Chiefs was great, building relationships with everyone that will last a lifetime.

“I’m very excited to move on to the next level. I feel like the Lakers were my best choice and from what I’ve heard, the program is awesome,” said Reynolds. “I feel we can have a successful season and I can’t wait to suit up in orange and black.”
