Anmol Garcha of the Princeton Posse has signed to play for the Drury University Panthers in the American Collegiate Hockey Association next fall.
Garcha, a Sherwood Park, Alta., product, led the Posse in points with 57 in 38 games. He also had a team-leading 22 goals. Improved skating helped the 5-10, 165-pound forward have more success.
“I got by opponents faster by being better on my edges,” he says.
Garcha spent three years in Princeton, which he says is amongst the best of his life having a very positive experience in a very well run program from the coaching staff, to the board. He added they became one of the best programs in the KIJHL over that time.
“Coach Mark Readman really pushed me into becoming a better player and a leader as well,” he says. “He held me accountable at all times, which helped me ultimately become a better person and player.”
Garcha is excited to join the Panthers this fall, especially knowing several players.
“It was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down,” says Garcha, who will join fellow KIJHLers Levi Brewer, Jarrod Gale, Jozef Kuchaslo, Luke Aston and Posse teammate Lucas Sadownyk.
